What Leads Most to Hellfire and What Leads Most to Paradise

Hadith of the Day is a daily feature highlighting timeless sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Ahlul-Bayt (pbut), offering insights into faith, ethics, and spirituality for contemporary life.

Hawzah News Agency- Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad narrated from Ibn Mu’adh who narrated from al-Husayn al-Marwazi, who narrated from Muhammad ibn Ubayd, who narrated from Dawud al-Awdi, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Holy Prophet (pbuh and his family) that he said:

Indeed, the foremost things by which [people of] my Ummah will enter the Fire are the two hollows.

- They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what are the two hollows?”

He replied: The private part and the mouth. And the thing by which [people] will most enter Paradise is mindfulness of Allah (Taqwa) and good manner.
